Affie and James tied the knot at The North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island on August 28, 2010. It was a warm but reasonably comfortable day for late August. The Ceremony took place as the sun was setting over the Albemarle Sound and the cocktail hour was held around the Fossil Hunt Pit and Picnic Area. Guests moved inside the Aquarium for the reception where they were seated in the on both sides of the shark tank for a dramatic back drop. Catering was provided by The Red Sky Cafe and featured some Persian dishes as homage to the bride's ethnic back round. Iron Lanterns and Pillar Candles lit up the hallways. Paper Lanterns and Parasols in the wedding colors decorated the seating area and above the dance floor. Guests danced the night away to the wonderful music & entertainment of Steve the Dream, with whom we were so honored to have had one last wedding with before we tragically lost him 2 months later to a surfing accident. We will never forget you Pamlico Jack, thank you for all your years of entertainment and dedication! The Cake was provided by Great Cakes of The Outer Banks. Photography was provided by Neil GT. The floral centerpieces were done by the bride's family and the decorations were provided by Just Beachy Events.
