Tara & Hayden sealed the deal on October 2, 2010 at The Sanderling Resort & Spa in Duck, NC. Tara is a police officer for The Town of Duck and Hayden was a Fireman at The Duck Fire Department when they started dating. For one day in between dreary and cool weather, Tara and Hayden had one of the most spectacular October days on the Outer Banks you could hope for. The sky was blue with long cirrus clouds and about 72 degrees with a very slight breeze. They could not have asked for a more beautiful day to get married! The ceremony took place on The Main Inn Oceanside Deck and was decorated with curly willow branches, grapevine, roses and starfish hanging off the chairs at the end of each row along the aisle. Guests gathered for a group picture on the deck immediately following the ceremony then made their way over to the Soundside Pavilion for the cocktail hour and reception, where the tent was decorated with Coral, Brown and Latte Paper Lanterns and Fabric provided and set up by Just Beachy Events. Before the bride and groom could make their way over Tara had arranged a surprise for her new husband. The Duck Fire Department's beautiful black and red engine was waiting for Hayden in the parking lot for the perfect photo op complete with most of the Duck Firemen who were either in attendance or on duty. The wedding guests got down to tunes provided by George Wainwright of DJ Professionals and Video. Mike and Allie Hawkins of Island Photography took the amazing pictures. Just Desserts provided the wedding cake. Just Beachy Events provided all ceremony and wedding reception decorations.
